Hey everyone!
It is that time again! 8 weeks out from our yearly competition The Wodding Dead. We are happy to report that this will be our eighth year hosting this competition. It grows every year and we hope to make this year the biggest and best!
What is it and should I do it??? It is a team competition and has four divisions. Advanced. Intermediate. Novice. And for the first time ever....Masters. Standards are posted in our 'profit' app so please check it out if you haven't already. There are also multiple posts on our IG page as well as @thewoddingdead page, explaining standards and also the wods that have already been released. The event will be held on Saturday, September 9th at our box in Davie and will run from about 8 am to 3 pm.
If you have been doing CrossFit for at least six months, I absolutely recommend taking part in this event. It will have a different vibe and feel than the regular classes. You will perform at your very best and you will learn so much about yourself and your teammates in the process. I have been doing CrossFit for almost two decades and when I began I NEVER thought I would compete. Fast forward and I cannot count the number of times I have competed. These are some of the fondest memories I have of our sport.
If you are interested in competing, please let any coach know, or respond to this email, and we will add your name to the list of "free agents" so that we can group some of you together to make a team of three. The teams can be made up of any combinations of genders, such as MFF, FMM, MMM, FFF, etc.
If you are interested in the event but are still unsure if you are ready to compete, please volunteer. We NEED volunteers for all kinds of things. You do not have to judge if you do not want to, but can be a helpful hand in a bunch of different things the day of. If this interests you please reply to this email ASAP. Food and also a cool event T Shirt will be complementary to all volunteers.
